Based in Los Angeles, Alexis Danielle Jewelry is a fine jewellery company designed and curated by brother and sister duo, Alexis and David Newman. With their father boasting 50 years of experience in the antique and jewellery trade, the pair grew up surrounded by beautiful antique jewellery.
It wasn’t long until they decided to combine Alexis’ creative fashion background with David’s business experience, and set up their own brand. The collection is a mix of one-of-a-kind antique items that the duo has sourced from antique shows, auctions and estates, with their new modern designs. We chat to Alexis about their story, their inspiration and their plans for the future.
How did Alexis Danielle Jewelry begin?
“My brother and I grew up in Los Angeles, and we've been around antique jewellery our entire lives as our father has been in the antique and jewellery business for over 50 years. We decided to set up our own fine jewellery company together and Alex Danielle Jewelry was born.”

Who has been your biggest influence?
“Our father inspired us as he has always been so incredibly passionate about the jewellery and antique business. It was his work ethic and knowledge of the trade that inspired us to create our very own collection.”
What inspires your designs?
“We get inspiration from the people around us - our family, friends and unique style in general. We also love antique designs, especially Art Deco. Fine antique jewellery takes detail and design to another level, and that is what we strive to do.”

How do you want someone to feel when they wear your designs?
“We want our customers to feel their best and know that they’re wearing something special that holds value. We offer a large range of pieces in the collection so there truly is something for everyone.”
Alexis, if you could only wear one piece of jewellery, which would it be?
“I love a good stand out ring. I have one long gold and diamond Art Deco style ring that I wear every day and always get compliments on. I will not take it off!”
If you could travel to one place in the world right now, where would it be?
“We would say Bora Bora. The surroundings, culture, water, animals and everything about it is magical. We love emeralds and sapphires, so we would love to shoot there one day to bring out those colours with the surroundings.”
What drew you to JewelStreet?
“We love how JewelStreet offers such a range of designers. The site is run extremely well and will give us the opportunity to reach customers that we may have not reached on our own. It is clean and innovative, which is very important to us.”
What are your plans for the future?
“We would like to offer more engagement rings to our customers - we do have a variety of styles now, but we would like to grow that business. We offer customisation for engagement rings and we hope to build that division in the next few years.”
