Legendary horticulturist, Gertrude Jekyll, would have been 174 today.
Fans of old English gardens will get a treat when they go online today as they will find a new Google doodle celebrating famed horticulturalist Gertrude Jekyll.
Jekyll designed and created over 400 (!) gardens in the UK alone and was seen as one of the key influences in garden design.
Her work is still used as a source of inspiration to this day and below are some of the gardens designed by Jekyll.
