Get to know At Last...better in today's designer interview with their founder and fashion designer Annabel Drabble. An independent brand based in the UK, Annabel designs beautiful and original boutique clothing for women of all ages.

How did your brand begin?

I started designing as I could not find what my customers were asking for.

Values are really important to us at JewelStreet. What are your core brand values?

My USP is tailoring and giving a feminine shape to all women whether they are size 8 or size 20.

Where do you draw inspiration from for your designs?

I just love colour and all my fabrics are hand block printed in my workshop in Jaipur.

How do you ensure your designs are ethical and sustainable?

Because I am not only the designer but the manufacturer as well, it means I have complete control over the entire production process.

How are your products made?

They are handmade by my artisan work people in a beautiful workshop in Jaipur, India - a very happy place to be!

Are there any specific manufacturing/crafting techniques you use?

Hand block printing and digital printing, are all done in house.

How do you source your materials?

All my fabrics are sourced locally as white cloth, and then we make wooden blocks and print the fabric.

Are there any celebrities you would love to see wearing your designs?

I have had many over the years, from Vera Lynn to Rosie Fortescue, so a huge age difference, but all love my brand.

How do you want someone to feel when they wear/use your designs?

Confident, feminine, attractive, and I want them all to enjoy the compliments I know they will get!

Do you work with any charities?

Yes, we do a lot of charity events throughout the year. I do a charity fashion show annually.

What music do you play in the studio whilst you’re working?

Radio 2, Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Queen, Harry Styles, opera.

If you could travel to one place in the world right now, where would it be and why?

I would go to my workshop in India. I have not been able to go since the pandemic but I will be there in September 2022.

What drew you to JewelStreet?

It's a young new business for my brand to have exposure on.

If you could only wear one piece from your collection, what would it be and why?

Annabel Maxi as I would be on holiday and it would be hot!!

Thank you for talking with us Annabel!
