Giuseppe Manna opened his own jewellery laboratory in 1977 and spent decades producing exclusive jewels for well-respected brands. In 2005, he decided to utilise his experience and set up his own brand. Known as Pino to his friends, hence the name Pinomanna, Giuseppe and his daughter, Cinzia, work together with their team of designers to create outstandingly intricate fine jewellery.
Mostly limited edition to ensure maximum exclusivity, their designs range from statement diamond ear cuffs to playful bejewelled chickens and crabs. Their inspiration is eclectic, and it really shows in their surprising and unique collection. Dealing mainly with the marketing and communication of the brand, we chat to Cinzia about the history behind the brand and why they decided to join JewelStreet.
How did Pinomanna begin?
“The first time my father entered a laboratory he was fascinated by the fact that from an idea and a slab of gold, a jewel could be born. He decided that this would be his life's work. For years he made exclusive jewels for the most prestigious brands and a few years ago he created his brand.”
"Our inspiration is eclectic, we try to surprise just as reality always surprises us!"
What inspires your designs?
“We get inspiration from all beauty that we can find in reality - both from nature and man-made masterpieces in art, architecture and other fields. Our inspiration is eclectic, we try to surprise just as reality always surprises us!”
What are your core brand values?
“The main values of the company are: high-quality Italian craftsmanship, extreme attention to detail, and the spirit of innovation.”
"We would like our customers to feel comfortable and unique. That's why we usually release limited edition pieces. "
How do you want someone to feel when they are wearing Pinomanna jewellery?
“We would like our customers to feel comfortable and unique. That's why we usually release limited edition pieces. Every gem must make everyone's soul shine and make you feel that eternal breath that only a jewel can give.”
"JewelStreet is the perfect place to introduce our brand to an audience attentive to quality products, unique and inimitable creations."
What would your father be doing if he wasn't a designer?
“I’m sure my father would have done some kind of artistic work. As a tailor's son, he likes to define himself as the tailor of jewellery. He chooses the best materials to sew together the desires of his customers. So, who knows, maybe he could have been a tailor!”
What drew you to JewelStreet?
“The desire to establish a direct dialogue with customers who have been appreciating our style for years. JewelStreet is the perfect place to introduce our brand to an audience attentive to quality products, unique and inimitable creations.
