Based in Miami, Cosanuova was founded 15 years ago after Luisa Collantes made her childhood dream of running her own jewellery brand come true. Working in a jewellery store from a young age, Luisa learned the tricks of the trade and knew one day she would put her own stamp on the industry. Cosanuova offers a wonderful collection of styles, stones and metals - each carrying an aesthetic and elegance that perfectly complements the wearer.
From a multicoloured hamsa hand pendant set with colourful cubic zirconia to a modern ring set with diamonds, the collection has something for all tastes and budgets. We chat to Luisa Collantes about the brand’s commitment to customers, donating 10% of annual profits to SLIMS Africa and why coffee shops are her favourite meeting spot.
How did Cosanuova begin?
“I fell in love with the industry at a very young age when I started working at a jewellery store. I saw how the jeweller created and repaired jewellery; I learned about the industry and decided that one day I would create my own brand to share with the world. Cosanuova is the realisation of that dream.”

How do you want someone to feel when they’re wearing Cosanuova jewellery?
“When someone wears our jewellery, we want them to feel chic and unique. We want them to feel that our jewellery is a complement to their natural beauty and style, and that with it they are making a statement of style and elegance.”
What are your core brand values?
“Customer focus. We are 100% committed to our customers. We want them to keep coming back and to recommend us to others. Integrity is also a critical core value and corporate social responsibility, as we aim to deliver value to stakeholders and society.”
"We are 100% committed to our customers."
How is your jewellery made?
“We use computer modelling software to design. Files are sent to our manufacturing partners who create the moulds and casts to produce our items. Once the raw piece is done, our stones are handset and then items are polished, packed and ready to ship.”
How do you ensure your jewellery is ethical and sustainable?
“We request third party audits from our factories to verify where materials are being sourced from and perform due diligence to the extent allowed. We support fair labour practices and periodically monitor these issues with our manufacturing partners.”
Where is your go-to meeting spot?
“I like meeting in relaxing and comfortable places. Local coffeeshops tend to have a great atmosphere with background music and an aroma that sets a great environment.”
"Our company has committed 10% of its annual profits to the SLIMS Africa organisation."
Do you work with any charities?
“Our company has committed 10% of its annual profits to the SLIMS Africa organisation. We want to give back to the young lives of Africans whom have suffered the most from the flaws of our industry, such as the war for conflict diamonds.”
If you could travel to one place in the world right now, where would it be?
“Paris. The city of lights, love and magnificent views. It possesses a rich and attractive cultural scene, as well as numerous fashion shows that set the tone for global trends. An enchanting place where you can draw inspiration from anywhere you look.”
What drew you to JewelStreet?
“The ability to partner with a trusted company and to be able to offer our designs to people all over the world through the JewelStreet platform. “
