Unique, eye-catching and handcrafted in Barcelona; Valentina Falchi’s jewellery is a reflection of her personal style. Working alone in her workshop, Valentina designs and then crafts her statement collections using nature as her main inspiration. We take 5 minutes to chat with Valentina about her brand.

How did you start your brand?

“I've always been creative, and I always loved hand work, so suddenly I started playing with beading jewels. I improved my designs, started to sell them and realised that I loved it! I then decided to study jewellery and create my own brand. It's been a very natural process.”

“I believe in simplicity and in truth.”

What are your core brand values?

“Show your personality! I believe in simplicity and in truth. Other important values for me (and so for my brand) are fairness, coherence and honesty. No lies, no facade, just be yourself!”

What inspires your designs?

“Nature is an endless inspiration for me, but I also get inspired when I travel or in everyday life. You can get inspiration in everything you see or live.”

“You can get inspiration in everything you see or live.”

How is your jewellery made?

“My jewels are entirely handmade or hand finished in Barcelona, Spain. I work in my workshop alone but with a lot and good providers that I trust to provide the best quality to my clients.”

Have any celebrities worn your designs?

“This year I received the most incredible gift life could give to me. The Spanish actress Rossy De Palma wore a pair of my Nymph collection earrings. It was amazing because she's one of my muses! I would love to see my jewels on Tilda Swinton too!”

If you could only wear one piece from your collection, which would it be?

“It would of course be the Tagliatella choker, it's so me and so eclectic! It was inspired on my Italian roots and is simple but bold at the same time. I love it in both versions: in silver or in gold plated brass.”

If you weren’t designing jewellery, what would you be doing?

“Surely something related to creativity and craft. I love making things by hand, but I also love to sing and travel, so maybe I could have been a singer too… Ok, that's obviously a joke!”

What music do you playing in the studio?

“I listen to the radio and most of the time I listen to rock music, especially old rock from 60's-80's. But when I need to think and to concentrate I prefer some relaxing music like Ludovico Einaudi's music, so inspiring!”

What’s your favourite quote?

“‘Jewellery: because roses die, and chocolates go straight to the hips.’ I don't know who this is from but it’s so true and hilarious!”

If you could invite 3 famous people (dead or alive) to a dinner party, who would it be?

“Freddy Mercury because I love him. Caravaggio because he was so damn good and crazy. Aretha Franklin or Nina Simone because they are goddesses.”
