With some of the most impressive (and heavy) wings to date, and their first ever collaboration with a design house, the team at Victoria's Secret pulled out all the stops this year for their annual show in Shanghai.
This year we couldn't help but notice one trend that stood out from above the rest...
Victoria's Secret's collaboration with Balmain offered a fresh new look to the glittered runway. Between the usual suspects of feathers and florals were safety pins, chains and diamante studs. No doubt down to Olivier Rousteing, head designer at Balmain.
The more studs… the better.
The collection, which features diamanté, netting and A-LOT of tartan has origins tracing back to traditional french punk, books and editorial.
“The Victoria’s Secret team have been invited to my Balmain shows many times, and I have also been a guest on the VS front row,” he said backstage. “A year ago they came to me and said, why don’t we do something together? We came up with the punk theme, which is something really new for me.”
…And whats best?
This look is super easy to transfer from runway to your everyday look!
