February 4th marked the start of Fashion Month and New York Fashion Week has well and truly started. We’re expecting the unexpected, with glamorous AW19 runways, exciting debuts and showstopping comebacks. Amongst the jaw-dropping fashion, the unfortunate majority of us who aren’t going will be staring at our phones wishing we were sat front row at our favourite designer’s shows and brushing shoulders with fashion’s elites.
This is the time of year where we’re grateful for social media. Scrolling through Instagram, we’re delighted to see pictures from the runway and elaborate exciting street style. Fashion is constantly evolving and social media allows it to be more visible than ever before. It’s helping break down barriers and it allows creative figures to make a name for themselves in the fashion world.
Bloggers, vloggers and influencers are taking over the world and supplying us with incredible and relatable content at the same time. Looking at their posts, we not only feel like we’re at Fashion Week with them, but we’re able to further understand current trends and events with their behind the scenes access and extensive knowledge. Personally, I look to my favourite influencers if I’m not getting a grip on a new trend or if I need some inspiration.
Check out these top fashion influencers that you NEED to be following for access to all things Fashion Week.
