The Emmy’s kicked off awards season with glamour, class and sophistication. The best jewellery looks from the Emmy’s ranged from traditional diamond designs to edgy mixed-textured pieces. Like any awards party, there were certainly many some swoon-worthy moments to discuss. From Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s astounding success (and THAT picture) to Billy Porter’s history-making moment as the first black gay recipient of an Emmy Award, the electric atmostphere was infectious.
We’ve chosen the best jewellery looks from the 2019 Emmy Awards to inspire some glamour and luxury in these grey autumn months. Feast your eyes on the glittering jewels of these dazzling stars.
Wearing an incredible statement pair of David Webb earrings and matching ring, Emilia Clarke won my vote for the best jewellery at the 2019 Emmy Awards. Featuring plus opals with green, blue and crystal white diamonds, these earrings are sublime. Clarke’s look was inspired by J Lo, who she claimed to be ‘channelling all evening’. Yep, we think we’ll also be channelling J Lo this season if that’s the key to looking so chic!
Viola Davis proved just how timeless a striking monochromatic look is. Wearing a stunning Alberta Ferretti and adorned with a graduated diamond necklaces by Forevermark, the actress was the height of sophistication in this classic ensemble. Classic fashion looks like Viola Davis’ shows that simplicity is often the most chic way forward. Follow suit with crisp white diamonds for your next jewellery investment.
Like Viola Davis, actress Naomi Watts channelled classic sophistication in a gorgeous black Dior gown and a Harry Winston diamond necklace. Allowing the necklace to drape elegantly past her shoulder blades, this contemporary twist on a classic jewellery item was the cherry on top of a beautiful look.
Where do we begin with Billy Porter? From his glittering pinstripe suit, asymmetric hat and glittering diamond rings, everything about his look was utterly and authentically Porter-esque. Billy Porter made history as the first black gay man to win an Emmy Award, which Porter underscored gracefully by quoting American author James Baldwin in a moving speech. His jewellery, featuring a floral diamond ring, did everything to brighten the spotlight on this talented actor.
Another favourite look of mine from the evening was Brittany Snow’s baby blue ensemble. The feminine and romantic colour of her J Mendel gown was perfectly balanced by the striking diamond earrings designed by State Property. Featuring three angular lines adorned in diamonds, these earrings added the perfect amount of edge to Snow’s delicate look.
Sandra Oh looked stunning in her peony-coloured Zac Posen gown, but her Messika jewellery was the unexpected but chic twist of her look. Featuring a wooden drop earring design and adorned with diamond climbers, these jewels were the most unique of the evening - typical to Sanda Oh’s style. Take a leaf out of Sandra Oh’s style files and add some unconventional texture into your luxury look.
