Stars of both stage and screen took to the red carpet last night for the 2018 BAFTAs, held at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
Nearly all the celebrities showed their solidarity to the Time’s Up movement by donning their finest black ensembles for the occasion. With the distinct lack of colour, A-listers upped their jewellery game and wore some striking accessories. We take a look at a few of our favourites.
Naomie Harris wore our favourite look of the night. Never one to shy away from wearing something different, the British actress wore cigarette trousers with a beautifully embellished sheer cape. To finish the look, she layered a number of disc pendants from De Beers and proved that three is better than one.
She may have defied the all-black dress code by wearing green, but the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge took the crown for wearing the biggest emeralds. The striking drop necklace was awash with diamonds and emeralds, and she wore the earrings to match.
Gemma Arterton’s simple swish of scarlet lipstick went perfectly with a ruffled Alberta Ferretti gown. Again, she chose emeralds for her jewellery, and paired a short necklace with an interesting pair of drop earrings that appeared to go completely over her ear lobe.
Florence Pugh’s jewellery did more than just sparkle. The 22-year-old Lady Macbeth star wore a strappy black gown with diamond earrings and a powerful Time’s Up ring.
What do you wear with a plunging Eighties neckline and classic updo? A statement pair of earrings, of course. Emma Roberts finished her glamorous look with a pair of shoulder-dusting gold earrings. We love!
Blank Panther’s Lupita Nyong’o wore an Elie Saab gown featuring innovative cuts and a unique peplum skirt. But instead of keeping her jewellery simple, she went for an intricate and detailed pair of chandelier earrings.
Queen of the red carpet, Angelina Jolie looked as beautiful as ever in her trademark all-black aesthetic. She paired a velvet sweetheart-neck gown with the diamonds it deserved: a pair of 32.98 carat diamond Graff earrings and the 16.69 carat diamond cocktail ring to match.
