Boasting over four decades of experience in the jewellery industry, Amanda Cox Jewellery creates unique and classic designs primarily inspired by nature.
Amanda’s passion for jewellery was ignited when she saw her sister return from the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970 covered in jewellery. She began creating costume jewellery from ironmongers wire and leather and selling it to friends at school, before getting her first shop order when just a young teenager. Since studying jewellery and silversmithing in the mid 70’s, Amanda went on to work as a designer/maker in the trade in Birmingham's historic Jewellery Quarter and London, set up her own workshop and jewellery studio, and teach at Plymouth College of Art & Design as a lecturer. In 1998 Amanda returned to her original passion of designing and creating her own collections, at her own studio in Yorkshire.
Amanda creates jewellery with a timeless and classic design, thoughtfully handcrafted from precious metals and often incorporating fresh water pearls. She takes much of her inspiration from natural surroundings, particularly flowers. Her pieces are available in silver and gold, and range from modern and sleek to vintage-inspired and statement.
Her signature range is the Lily collection, which Amanda has developed and grown over the years. The collection is inspired by the simple beauty and graceful form of the Calla Lily, renowned for its magnificent beauty and symbolism of purity and honesty. Smooth fluid lines are used throughout the collection, which Amanda handcrafts in silver and gold with stunning fresh water pearl accents.
Our favourite piece from the Lily collection is her Medium Gold Lily Ring. Handcrafted in 9kt yellow gold, the flowing and effortless design of the ring is finished with your choice of coloured pearl: white, peacock, pink or silver/grey. This ring will add a touch of elegance to any outfit.
