Kelly Charveaux's fascination with gems and precious metals began at an early age. She was born in Faith, South Dakota, near the famous mineral rich Black Hills region and adjoining Sioux Indian lands. Her early collection of rocks and arrowheads evolved into a lifelong love of gems and jewelry. She moved to Arizona in her early teens and immediately started collecting turquoise. While working for a jewelry manufacturer, she furthered her education at the Gemological Institute of America and the renowned Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco. More recently she did a workshop with the award winning artist Jesse Monongye. Kelly has also won national awards for her designs, as well as being highlighted in numerous magazines. She loves using unique stones in her inlay designs and is obsessive about quality and detail.
