Cicadas and their symbolism are very close to my heart. When in 2021 Brood X emerged after 17 years, I knew I would Have to do something with them.
This unique collection of jewelry is made with the wings of these magical creatures. (No insect was harmed or killed to create this jewelry.) One-of-a-kind earrings crafted with real cicada wings that have been encased in glass.
The wings are complemented by mixed gemstones including opals and pearls. These earrings are on a post with a large comfort clutch to hold them securely. About 2 inches long.

Laura Stamper Designs is based in the US and was founded by Laura, who has a background in art, with a passion for illustration and painting. After exploring sculpture, Laura moved on to create her stunning jewellery pieces, which incorporate these inspirations.
