The colours of this stone are just superb. Tricky to catch in a photograph. The stone shimmers between violet and an intense dark blue. The stone is set on a highly polished silver base that gets light through the stone and sets it off beautifully.
Iolite is the gemstone for the twenty-first wedding anniversary. The ring is a German size 16 (56mm finger circumference), a US 5 1/2 and a British L The ring comes packaged in a matt white environmentally friendly presentation box, ready to be given and received with love.
All my metal is from a company that is a Responsible Jewellery Council member. They deal only in recycled silver and gold. They smelt their metals to the highest environmental standards, to cause the least impact on the environment.
They do not deal with newly mined metals, as these metals cause much greater destruction to the environment. There is no visible difference between recycled metals and newly-mined metals.
The vast majority of my clients prefer their metals recycled, as environmental impact is of concern when choosing the perfect piece of jewellery.
